Handheld Phone Gimbal with Magnetic AI Active Tracking

Pretty incredible product from DJI. I have not had or used any of the previous versions of this product so I can't compare features but I am blown away by what all it can do. Even if you just want to use it as a simple gimbal to hold your phone level its well worth the price just to improve your videos of family events, sports, etc.

Understand this is much more than just a gimbal, however. It can do photo brackets for high resolution panoramas, track object and people for videos and give you stable control over pan, tilt and zoom functions to make sharper, more stable videos.

The controls are fairly intuitive and only complicated by the sheer number of features. There are video tutorials that explain each function to help you get going. Battery life is great, the handle is very comfortable and the controls are well laid out for functional use. The product folds us to a reasonably compact size and comes with a carrying bag to keep it secure.

Does What It Says! Amazingly versatile. Learning curve from basic to advanced in moments. Great intro videos. Good battery life. Amazon vendor prompt and efficient.

I haven't really begun to know all the ways that I can use this. It is really quite astounding how well this works. Face tracking when using it to record you works very well, as does the stabilization of the camera. This almost completely removes bounces as you walk making any videos you take much higher quality.

The device is quick to start up, is reasonably small for what it does, and does come with a nice pouch to keep it in.

There is only one downside for me. I had hoped to use this to allow my phone to have its display captured for live streaming (using this to pan-tilt the phone). Unfortunately for me, is that this works only with the photo app provided. I can see how that makes sense, it just has a lot of overlays which make it unsuitable to capture.

Battery life is also believable at 10 hrs. I haven't pushed mine that far yet, but it's run for quite a while without being charged yet.

The only other downside is the learning curve. It is to be expected given all the options that this has. I do wish it came with more than a quick start guide. That said, it is reasonably intuitive to use.

Overall, if you need this, you know and it lives up to DJI's reputation for producing high-quality products

DJI kills it again, although if you have the iPhone 16 Pro your phone already has good stabilization technology

Learning the controls takes a while, but it lets you do a lot

-1 star as the app is 1.8GB when installed! That's insane, the largest app on my phone by far, I assume they could improve this but haven't. It's not published on the Play store either so you have to download the APK and sideload it, which is annoying.
